Overview
This thrust area focuses on developing modeling/simulation tools that support the design and optimization of manufacturing systems, including the prediction and improvement of reliability, productivity, quality, and responsiveness in manufacturing. A new area of focus is the design of products and production systems in support of customized and personalized products.
